A safe antibiotic prescription used by pregnant women is an erythromycin, cephalosporin, or azithromycin antibiotic ointment. Antibiotic ointment should only be utilized for a short time to avoid bacterial resistance. Avoid using tetracycline-class antibiotics because they can cause fetal defects.

2. Salicylic acid
Then, the second one is Salicylic acid. Salicylic acid can be found in some skin care products such as toners, cleansers and acne medications. Salicylic acid can remove dead skin cells, enter into the pores of the skin, and reduce inflammation of the skin. The use of high doses of salicylic acid can cause various complications of pregnancy and congenital disabilities. So, for safety, pregnant women should avoid using salicylic acid products. Treatment of peeling with salicylic acid in pregnant women should also be avoided. BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid is one group of salicylic acid which also should not be used, pregnant women. BHA is often found in exfoliate product. While the AHA Alpha Hydroxy Acids is a class of Glycolic Acid / Lactic Acid that is not a class of Salicylic Acid, so AHA safe to use during pregnancy.
